The Best & Worst of Season 2... for me - 35 QUESTIONS!

Favorite Blair Outfit: It's a toss up between Blair's Snowflake Ball gown and the Ruby Red dress she wore when babysitting that chick in that one episode. Of course, both dresses that Chuck has gotten for her are close contenders; both the ruby one and the Prom gown were stunning. (and and and the dress she wears when she hugs Chuck and the peach one in 'You've Got Yale'... damn, so many! I just want her wardrobe.)
Least Favorite Blair Outfit: It's hard to find a least favorite look for Blair because she always looks so amazing. But I really didn't like that blue thing she wore at Yale:
Favorite Other-female outfit: I loved Serena's Grecian gown in 2.01, it was stunning & Jenny did look adorable in her 2.01 'Ivory' dress also. I also really like how Eleanor dresses, my favorite aunt dresses like her and she always has this classy air about her.
Least Favorite female outfit: Not a fan of about 90% of things Vanessa wears, so that's that. I also never got the insistence of making Blake's tits part of the all-star cast. Half her outfits featured her boobs more than her.
Favorite Male Outfit: Chuck's wardrobe is a character in itself, isn't? But my favorite is a toss between his Yale outfit that made him look like he stepped off a period film (in the most delicious way), the White suit at the white party and the Sparkly-jacket for the Snow Flake ball. That will never get old. I dont really know what else the boys wore; their outfits never stand out.
Least Favorite Male Outfit: Anything Dan/Rufus/Nate wears I can usually skip right over. So I have to stick with Chuck who actually takes thought into dressing himself and sometimes makes you go like 'WTF?'. My least favorite Chuck outfit is the smoke-jacket. A sure sign that he's brooding about Blair and not thinking about his outfit.
Favorite Fight: I have a few faves. Of course the Serena/Blair cat fight takes the cake (MY HEADBAND, MY HEADBAND!) but we must also mention Chuck FINALLY punching someone; and it had to be the JACKass. It was hot. I'm not going to lie.
Least Favorite Fight: Lord Tiny Penis punching my Chuck. And Chuck taking it. Ugh. I was so mad I had to walk away.
Favorite Blair Headband!: I have a few so I'll narrow it to 2. Damn. My very favorite one is the one in 2.03 when the Ear!Sex happens. That one was stunning but I really really loved the White-Party one AND the one Chuck got her to match her dress in 2.07. There's so many of them *cries*
Least Favorite Blair Headband: None. Blair is perfect.
Favorite Parent Moment: Bart/Chuck 'I want to know my son' and then the bastard dies. Sadness. Blair/Cyrus 'not enough!' in 2.13 and Blair/Eleanor in the finale 'dont let him get away' *sigh*
Least Favorite Parent Moment: Lily slapping Chuck. Literally someone had to hold me back because I was pretty sure that ad mists my sobbing I was going to slap her right back. Lily attempting to run off with Rufus while her family is falling apart. I mean... where was Eric going to spend Christmas never mind her step-son who was mourning. Harold telling Blair he was disappointed in her. I wanted to .... ugh!
Best Friend Moment: Blair and Nate carrying Chuck to the funeral. Serena and Blair during 2.07, their friendship was adorable and funny. Dan/Chuck in jail, that sequence was amazing. An honorable mention to Jenny/Eric who are my current favorite BFFs.
Worst Friend Moment: Serena telling Chuck he hasn't been there for THEM during HIS father's funeral. Bitch, WTF?? Did he not bail your ass out 100 times over and over, you stupid plastic bendable Barbie??? Jenny/Vanessa after the Nate-pong mess. I still don't know how they went back to being bffs and TBH I dont give a damn.
Worst Fake-Boyfriend/Girlfriend: It's a toss-up between Lord-Tiny-Penis and Monotone-Aaron. Yup.
Best Fake Boyfriend/Girlfriend: There are none. This is why they're fake.
Favorite Plot-Line of the Season: Aside from the whole will-they-wont-they Chair sequence I loved Jack Bass. Just loved him. I wish they'd bring him back so Chuck can properly beat him up and Vanessa can come on to him because he's after all a Bass and a male. (apparent requirements for getting back at Nate when he leaves her for the 7th time)
Least Favorite Plot-Line: Aside from the obvious Quadrangle from hell that reared it's badly-written head in the later half of the season; I couldn't bring myself to give a fuck about the whole Rufly kid. Really. I dont care. At all. Oh and the Yale mess. And the Eyes-Wide-Shut party shit (was her name Elle or Hell? Either way we were watching it) and the Nate being angry at Chuck for no reason... I can go on. I must stop before I start a full-on-rant
Favorite Episode: Fuck, damn. I can't choose. 2.01, 2.04, 2.08, 2.13, 2.14, 2.15... then we skip to 2.23 and 2.25
Worst Episode: 2.20 will go down as the worst one. Ever. Ever. But there are a few others that are close behind.
Scene that made you sob and rock in a corner: 2.13, Chuck showing up in Blair's room. That scene... oh that scene...
Scene that made you laugh until your stomach hurt: Georgina showing up in Serena's room and the mess that went with that but the cake was Nate "shhh"ing everyone.
Promo that made you want to die for the next episode: The 2.12 promo. Chuck and Blair dancing. I was a mess. Oh and the promo for 2.03 - Chair kissing in the dark.
Promo that made you sick: 2.20. Really, this is like the all-purpose fuck-up.
Favorite Quote: It's between "Tell Jesus the bitch is back", "I'm bored, you ruined my pants" and "Three Words, Eight Letters". Just selective good writing.
Least favorite Quote: Anything Nate told Chuck in anger, most especially when Chuck was trying to help him with his money problems. And usually when Vanessa talks I dont... you know, listen.
Best Random Moment: Blair running behind Chuck as he sips Champagne in 'You've got Yale'
Worst Random Moment: Serena grabbing Nate and kissing him. Because that's all that happened and we wanted more, dammit!
Best Gay Moment: "Are you gay?" from Chuck to Dan because I was expecting him to reply "yes" and that would've been golden. Most especially Chuck's unsurprised face at the confirmation.
Worst Gay Moment: WHERE THE HELL ARE MY GAY KISSES?? NO ERIC/JONATHAN EVER?!! FAIL! Last season I got 2! TWO (ok, we only got the impression of one of them but technically there were two).
Best Party: The Dark Night, shit seriously went down there and the post-graduation one was also awesome
Worst Party: Prom. Because we blinked and missed it.
Best Kiss: Humm.... finale kiss is my favorite, it was amazing but even me who doesn't like Nate/Jenny thought their kiss at the end of 2.08 was pretty amazing too
Worst Kiss: heh... need you ask?
Overall FAVORITE moment: This is hard. Very hard. We saw some AMAZING moments this season and some total FAIL ones. But I have to say my very favorite moment in S2 was The Roof Scene in 2.14. "No one cares" - "I do!" but then again I have so many I can't fucking pick!

As you can see, we have to take them as they come. It's been extremely slow in the wanking business these days. Either they're all hidding or it really was 3 people posting over and over. I'm fond of the second theory, it makes sense in this senseless world.

LOVE the pictures and that season 3 poster is classic.
LOVE it and it's very telling who is still the male lead of this show, the credits say it all. Not to mention the positions in that poster. this shows leads are Blake/Serena, Leighton/Blair, Penn/Dan and Chace/Nate.. I've always known this but it's nice to see it confirmed.

ME: I just LOVE how this person's line of vision works. She should have it medically checked, seriously. Because she's staring at the picture:

The only thing that didn't fail in the last eppie was Nate, he was no way in the wrong.. because low and behold it was Chuck chucking up Blair's prom like always so Nate was right. Chuck said he'd let her go, yet he couldn't help but interfere not to mention being such a creepy stalker.. going through Blair's crap is not romantic its borderline illegal. This episode only managed to solidify my utter distaste for the fail that is Chuck Bass I miss badass awesome Chuck, i'm sick of this Jesus wannabe trying to make Blair "happy", if he really wanted her to be happy her would have left her alone like he said he would.

ME: 'Chuck chucking up' - it's got a ring to it, doesn't it? I mean, I kinda like it, near borderline. Well, the moment he left her alone she left Nate so missions accomplished because staying in a relationship where people dont really love one another is just perfect, right? I just hope this person doesn't practice in real life what she preeches because she's in for some serious relationship problems.

WHY don't they write vanessa an actual storyline that is unburdened by hot beverages? her tryst with chuck bass was so promising, but where did it leave her? in brooklyn, playing go fish with a fifteen(fifty) year old flame out named jenny humphrey on prom night! those dove commercials are not enough for jessica szohr!

ME: The answer is simple, my friend. Because we dont fucking care. That's why and the writers dont care about her story either or they wouldn't have yanked her around like a puppy in training during the last few episodes of this season. And TRUST me. The Dove commercials are more than enough. MORE than enough.

The prom episode should have been epic, instead prom was not even the main storyline. I still don't understand why Nate & Blair broke up; that could have been done better. You suddenly don't want to be with him because you started dating in high school? Huh? And didn't Nate just buy them an apartment a couple weeks ago?

ME: She missed that whole episode where Blair is in love with Chuck and basically asked him to confess his feelings so she could leave Nate. I mean; this is the only explanation for this senile statement. She's just missed episodes. Like she's missed points in this storyline.

I don't see Chuck and Blair together, they are better without each other or as "scheme"friends:D So what now, BC holding hands? ;/ I liked Chuck so much in season 1 as a womanizer, now I really dont;/ I miss season 1...and I regret that they made too many changes from the book, which is perfect and Blair Nate are actually main copule there!

And I'm sorry but it actually kind of disappoints me that she's saying she's so supportive of a relationship that has been dysfunctional and unhealthy for the both of them. A moment please as I squeal like a fucking fangirl and make imaginary love to The Queen.

Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass have always had a very passionate and tumultuous relationship on "Gossip Girl." With season two ending with Chuck traveling the world to collect treasures for Blair to prove he cares for her, it does seem that, at least for now, these two are trying to make it work.

"I mean, that's pretty romantic. I think he knows now what he wants. They're done with high school, so any drama associated with that is sort of gone," Leighton Meester (a.k.a. Blair) told MTV News. "I mean, I think I'm pretty satisfied with what happened. I was really happy when I knew they kind of ended up together at the end of this season."

But Meester also warned fans that although things seem great in the world of Blair and Chuck, that doesn't mean they'll have a picture-perfect ending: "It's still kind of a cliffhanger 'cause ... every other episode they're back [together], they're not, they're back. But now I feel like it's more official and he's willing to admit his feelings and she is too. That's a relationship I really like a lot."

She added that the couple have a "fun dynamic." "Them together just seems so real. I mean, he loves her," she said. "The point is you love to hate him. You hate to love him. And he's such a very definitive character and he's always changing too. He's awesome."

So, if things don't work out again between Blair and Chuck, what guy would she want to see with her? Well, none! "Every time she breaks up with Chuck I don't want to see her with anybody. They're never actually broken up; she still pines over him. I think, from my point of view, a tumultuous relationship is an unhealthy one, and for them to be together it's going to take work. But they might just fight and break up and get back together. They seem like that kind of couple." (bwahahahaha!!!! It's Chair or NOTHING for the Queen and you all know that what the Queen says it's law)

She may not know what will happen with Chuck, but she does have some predictions about her own character. "I don't think Blair's losing her queen-bee status just yet," she said, adding that she would like to see her lose something else. "I think we might retire the headbands. ... To me, it's always been where she's at in her life. Maybe she'll start wearing them to regress."

Fuck, I love her. Like really love her. She loves her character, she UNDERSTANDS Blair AND Chuck. She knows them so well which is why she's fantastic at everything and anything. She's in this relationship; the moment the camera rolls she's as much in love with him as Blair is. That is fantastic, it's very rare that you get an actor to support so much what the writers are attempting to portray.

Well. I suppose we just got confirmation that she never wanted Nair together, did we? :P

Congratulations to Chace Crawford, 'Gossip Girl' star. He's just been cast as the lead in the new version of 'Footloose'.

The 23-year-old Crawford was born just a year after the release of the original film in 1984. "He's never danced before but he's an extremely good athlete, which makes him likely to pick it all up fairly easily," explains our mole in the studio. "And he's really up for it. After all, he's an actor and so he needs to be challenged."

We've collected a few wankings and Inca will take great delight in posting some of the few left because it's like finding water in the desert these days.

Also, the Vanessa petition has officially reached 533 signatures and we printed 4 copies of it. We UPS overnighted it to CBS, Warners, CW & Entertainment Weekly. We also emailed the link to all of the above. So that's done, thank you so much for all those of you who participated. Like we've stated before, we're not under the delusion that this will remove the character from the show, though according to the Poll that Spoiler TV is running the majority of people dislike the character, but it's more to make the writers be aware (if they're not already) that the direction they continue taking her character is pissing their audience off. So that's that.

On other news:

This shit is apparently still flopping on a dock somewhere in North America. I would probably not be so unhappy with the entire concept had they used ANOTHER episode other than Prom to shove this in but you know, that's done and over with and no matter how much I dislike it, it happened.

QUEEN of thoughts

So when you're sitting there wondering why we're so one-sided when it comes to The Queen and everything she is let us enlighten you. I think what makes Leighton (all hail the Queen) amazing as both an actress and a public figure is her fantastic understanding of her character; where it's come from, where it is and where it's going. It lets her make EDUCATED comments regarding Blair and Chuck's relationships. Which is something we can't say about certain other people.

When Leighton gives an answer, most especially about Chuck/Blair, she not only puts in her own composed and REALISTIC thoughts but she gives you a hint of something she HOPES might happen and something that would really happen. She doesn't pimp it or piss the fandom off, she's classy. We never heard her pimping the whole NBC triangle; she was subtle if anything.

We'll have to wait until September for the next Gossip Girl blast, but lucky for us, we won't have to wait for teasers about season three.

On the fitting green carpet at the CW upfront this morning, Leighton Meester couldn't wait to share her thoughts on the future of Chuck and Blair, and Blake Lively weighed in on Georgina's return.

When last we saw them, Chuck was showering Blair with her favorite treats and, more importantly, finally saying those three little words. But alas, can Bluck really work in the real world?

"Chuck and Blair holding hands, Chuck and Blair going to the movies—isn't that what he says would be unrealistic?" Meester tells us. "I feel like a tumultuous relationship is a-brewin', but that's what drama is."

The actress herself, who recently went blonde for a movie but promised to go back to brunette ASAP, says she isn't sure what she hopes will come for the couple.

"I want us to see them together, but at the same time, the reason why they're so good is why they can't be together," she says.

Unfortunately, both Blake and Leighton agree that Georgina's return could cast a long shadow over Chuck and Blair's future.

"Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta," Lively tells us. (thank you, Barbie, for using 'vendetta' and all.)

Despite the cliffhanger, whether or not Michelle Trachtenberg will be back on the show remains in question. The former Buffy actress is starring in Mercy, a nursing drama that NBC recently picked up.

Another big challenge ahead for our favorite Upper East Siders may be higher education.

"A few other people are going to college," Meester says. "I don't know if they're going to stay."

Speaking of college, Penn Badgley tells us that Dan Humphrey's half brother, Scott (Chris Riggi) might be up to no good with his sneaking around New York: "He's gotta skulk...He's a Humphrey."

And speaking of Humphreys, could Dan be coming around to the idea of Nate (Chace Crawford) getting with Little J (Taylor Momsen)? According to Penn, "He should. Nate's a solid dude." (yes. TOTALLY solid, Penny. TOTALLY!)

So, is Dan done thinking that Jenny's too young for Nate? "Probably not," says Penn. "But I personally think that Dan should relax. Dan is too uptight." (This guy totally HATES his character, doesn't he?)

Last but not least, in addition to more Georgina and Rufus-Lily spawn in season three, there is one indisputably awesome character we can promise will be getting plenty of screen time: Countess Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski).

"I think she's going to be around a lot more next season," says Leighton.

I can see some of you already worrying about Chair but really, I'm not. Chuck and Blair love one another more than any other couple in this show otherwise it wouldn't have taken them so long to be together. I think you all should be prepared for obstacles coming between them now that they're together, because they need to add drama. Michelle is only coming for three episodes; once more I'm not worried. In CHAIR we trust. If we can bounce back from the atrocity that was Chuhobo and Nair we can pretty much do anything. Really. We've hit rock bottom and look at us now.

I have been beaming at all the Vanessa jokes cracked by the media so I have decided to collect them - with some help from some of you because Vanessa jokes along with Nate jokes are the BEST. EVER!

Pre-graduation, Videotaping Vanessa walks up to Nepotism Nate (who's chatting up his gramps), and they catch up in a friendly way--he's starting his internship soon, his grandfather and mother are on speaking terms again, he and Blair broke up, and he apologizes for how horribly he handled things with V. Since nothing is ever new with Vanessa and Nate really was a douche recently, she thanks him for all that stuff forever ago that guided her toward NYU, and Nate then invites V and D to his post-graduation party.

This episode deserved this detailed breakdown because we loved it THAT much. THAT much. So, are you ready for our own version of the round table? Let's hit it! Ten questions you wanted answered, you're welcomed to post your own answers :D

1. Favorite friendship moment

Cowgirl: NJBC, I mean Nate stood around confused and stated the obvious but we FINALLY (after episodes and episodes) get a few episodes of NJBC. They were adorable on the stairs because I can see them as little kids plotting away as the adults had their dinner parties below. Specifically Nate/Serena it was awesome to see them acting as the friends they claim to be yet we never see it.

Inca: I'm a fan of Blair/Jenny. I really am. I never though I would say this because I was rather indifferent towards her (Jenny) last season but Blair's line of "you're my Queen" made me fall in love with BJ as friends. Queens stick together.

2. LEAST favorite friendship moment

Cowgirl: Nate/Chuck. First of all. What the fuck was that? Second of all. What the fuck was that? You EXPECT me to believe that this is how it is? Like the boys are now OK with one another now that Nair is no longer together? What bullshit!

Inca: Nate/Chuck. Nate just needs to admit he loves Chuck in the Top Gun type of way and get it over with because really!

3. Scene that nearly made you crash your TV

Cowgirl: Anything involving Vanessa but the NV patch-up of floating motherfucking bullshit took the cake. I first hated Vanessa because she's useless. Now she's indifferent too? I would've kicked that man to the curve. All the way to San Francisco. He needs to learn! He tells her he feels bad because of the way he treated her and she says 'that's ok?' Bitch, what is WRONG with you?? She's stupid and apparently they need a reason to keep her on the show so they 'patched' her back up with Nate. Stupid. That is SO not what the supposed fierce Vanessa from the hood would've done in early Season 1. She would've had more balls than that. Reason #466453222457 to write her off!

Inca: I knew you were going to choose NV so I have one of my own. LACK OF GEORGINA IS FAIL!!!! That was a fucking cameo, man! C'mon! I was so upset that we had to sit through that flashback instead of more G but they BETTER bring her back next season or I'll shit bricks.

4. Scene that nearly made you hug your TV

Cowgirl: My Blair!!!!!! "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IT CONSUMES ME!" and then she's crying and I'm crying with her and it's a mess and I held her and my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy but it's ok. Because my Blair needed a hug!

Inca: ... bitch. You stole mine! Ok. Fine. Blair nervously going to Chuck to try to tell him that Nair was as over like neon-colored purses. And she was nervous and he thought she was still taken and they made me melt with their little exchange. "I'm so happy to be graduating!" AWWW!!! And then the window of angst moment?? I try not to swoon because you know, I'm in my late 20's but I couldn't fucking help it, dammit!

5. Scene you will watch over and over

Cowgirl: Seduction scene hands down. I mean... WOW. The coat, the headband, the stockings, the slip HOLY SHIT! We're so re-enacting that scene my baby and me.

Inca: You are... you know what? Next time I go first! Whatever. The finale. Obviously. "I love you too", "I love you twice, three, I love you four..." I mean... it was an ending to a perfect romantic film. LOVED it!

6. Non-Chair Scene of Love

Cowgirl: SERENATE!! They talked more this episode than they have all season, usually for Gossip Girl this is basis for a stable relationship so let us see where it goes. Quite honestly I still believe they will hit Serenate next season. Nate's going to leave Vanessa AGAIN so she can sleep with yet another male character. It'll be in character. I think she's going to go with the new bro next season. Who wants to bet?

Inca: Blair/Eleanor hands down. LOVED their scene we hardly get to see them together and it was SO refreshing and I love that Eleanor knows all about Chuck. Now can I get that family dinner next season? Because that would be dream #445,634.

7. Nelly Yuki and Dan?

Cowgirl: I SO ship that! I'm there, count me in. I'm a Daki fan. Totally!

Inca: I knew they weren't going to go Georgina/Dan I just knew it. It was an awesome surprise but what was most priceless was Nate's natefused face at the 'ignored all of us'. He's still didn't get it and apparently his natefusion is contagious as Dan is also going WTF?? CLASSIC!

8. Storyline you couldn't care less about

Cowgirl: Apparently there was Rufly in this episode, right? Humm... didn't see it. "LILY, LILY! WE'RE MOVING IN TOGETHER, LILY, LILY!" man, are the puppets here yet?

Inca: Look. I've said this a million times. Vanessa is still in the show. Vanessa. AKA. Loose canon. Nuff said.

9. We were SO on point moment

Cowgirl: NV who should've been an NO reared it's ugly and we're supposed to be OK with it. How about NO? Does no work for you, writers?

Inca: The very apparent dragging of Chuck's I love you.. It was blatant. I found myself saying 'no, he wont say it yet. it's not the end of the episode'. Because really... he ran out of reasons except that it wasn't on the script.

10. Random WTF moment

Cowgirl: It's a toss up between Vanessa is part of GG's blasts, her attending TWO parties of a school she doesn't belong to (and coincidentally HATES everyone there) or you know the whole NV thing that will bother me for months. MONTHS.

Inca: JONATHAN!! We knew you existed we just never see you. Or your boyfriend. This is nice! Who are you again? Apparently NOT Gossip Girl.

Bonus Question: How will S3 begin?

Cowgirl: Chuck and Blair need to have sex. I mean. I know nuns that have more sex than these two together. They've fucked all of Manhattan except each other this season and this is very troublesome.

Inca: Georgie having a wet dream of a magical threesome between Chuck/Blair/Herself as Nate watches on confused. Because he can't stop staring at Chuck.

Bonus Question #2: Favorite Natefused Moment

Cowgirl: Nathaniel Archibald you astute fox, you! Yes! Gossip Girl MUST be a Senior like us! He's so smart, my pretty boy. So very smart! Someone give him a cookie. Good boy. Now go to your corner with V.

Inca: Hands down when Blair and Jenny walk into the bar. "THEY'RE A TEAM!" .... I had to pause my TV because I'm pretty sure I was hallucinating things. He can't be THAT stupid! He can't. But apparently he is. Because I rewound and he did say it! What a fuckard! I'll never stop laughing over that. I can just see his little wheels thinking "i kissed both of them! i've fucked Gossip Girl! How did I not notice? Did I miss something? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE??" Point him to the padded room someone, have mercy on his simple soul.

So you all know I live in love with Sexwick, much to Inca's distaste. :P So I get all giddy with new interviews especially when he's being adorkable.

There’s no escaping Ed Westwick’s tractor beam of hotness. The 21-year-old, known best as Gossip Girl’s deliciously evil Chuck Bass, appears to have it all — a career on the rise, a British accent, humility. From a modest upbringing in a town of 80,000 in Hertfordshire, Westwick moved to New York two years ago and just attended his second White House Correspondents’ Association dinner (his dates were Mom and Dad). He sat down to talk about GG and those outlandish outfits his character wears. His show’s second-season finale airs tonight.

Q: How was the WHCA dinner?

A: It’s quite the evening. Last year, I was kind of like, “Wow, I’ve been invited to the White House Correspondents’ dinner.” So I went along with my father, and we had a really nice evening. This year, I feel it was so much bigger and better because of Obama and everything that means to everyone.

Q: Was there anyone there you were particularly excited to meet?

A: My mother got a picture with Tom Cruise. She really enjoyed that. It put a smile on her face.

Q: Of all Chuck’s outfits, do you have any favorites?

A: The basketball outfit from the first season, where I end up wearing this headband and sunglasses and look like an ’80s gangster-rapper. It was just so outrageous. … I think someone at the network was like, “Are you serious?”

Q: Do you ever help pick out the clothes?

A: We chip in. If we put something on and it just doesn’t look right, we chop and change it. I always find that I’m wearing layers, and I look at myself — and I look like I’m puffed out. Ok, I cannot tell you how EXCITED I was at receiving this. I mean, some real CVers for reals!! After all this time! #$%^&@ and right before a new episode?? After I've taken 20 aspirins?? Ok, baby, Vanessa has had 2 seasons, 35 credited episodes to do something for me other than piss me the hell off. So if in 35 episodes all the writers have managed to do was to get the majority of the fandom to want her gone or in a corner I highly doubt attempting to make her just FANTASTIC next year will make her an army. It will quite honestly have the opposite effect. AND PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF PINK LEMONADE WHICH I LOVE SO MUCH DONT YOU EVER EVER EVER EVER SAY 'VUCK IS THE NEW BLUCK' BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL FUCK YOU UP. Really, I'm just looking out for your well being. I have never seen Chair as a 'cute romantic and steady couple' but if you do I totally understand, it's the affect of the Kool-Aid. Not your fault, kid. And those things are not called 'surprises' they're called OMFG-moments with no substantial back-story backing.

And we have more chance of seeing old school Chuck Bass back in a tormented relationship with Vanessa than steady in a romance with Blair, I think that's obviously a fact.

So the spoilers continue to pour in for the finale which is only HOURS away! Inca is totally trashed so she may not be in until later this afternoon nursing what she calls a 'hangover worse than my days in college. Freshman year to be exact.' HAHAA!! Love it! I've personally planned my hangover for Tuesday after I pop my celebratory champagne bottle that I've been holding on to since 2.01. And yes, the boyfriend understands I mean the alcohol.

So let us praise here for a moment the Boston Herald who is so decidedly OFF the Kool-Aid they may even become our new best friend.

Leighton Meester can do no wrong.

The formidable actress works her magic in the second-season finale of “Gossip Girl” tomorrow at 8 p.m. on WLVI (Ch. 56).

Meester’s Blair and her frenemies are graduating from high school, but this is no “90210” affair. That notorious texter Gossip Girl (voiced by Kristen Bell) interrupts commencement with a hot flash of trash.

Naturally, the students instinctively reach into their gowns for their cell phones and gasp at Gossip Girl’s audacity. She has some choice insults for the graduates. The worst? She terms Serena (Blake Lively) irrelevant.

That sets off the blond mannequin. She vows to expose the vicious blogger who’s got the 411 on everybody’s lives.

One of the first casualties in Serena’s war is the growing bond between her peers as they prepare to head off to college. Gossip Girl retaliates by unleashing all their torrid secrets in a text that practically causes their cells to combust - just as Blair is finally on the verge of getting Chuck (Ed Westwick) to admit to her that he loves her. (AHHHHH, the angst!)

Devastated, Blair decides she’ll have to move on. Chuck, like high school, is so over for her. But some things can’t be set aside as easily as a yearbook.

Blair’s graduation means the school will be without its queen bee.

“What would high school be without hierarchy?” wonders one of Blair’s teenage vipers-in-waiting.

“Bearable?” suggests Jenny (Taylor Momsen), who is tempted to fill the power vacuum, if only to rule benignly. That’s what she says.

Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) can’t decide what they mean to each other. I know what they mean to me: time-killers.

Not every story is neatly resolved. Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) makes a cameo that promises plenty of trouble for Blair in the fall. (OMG, Blair/Georgie roommates would be a dream come true but you know I'm NEVER that lucky!)

When “Gossip Girl” began, Serena was its heroine and Blair her bitter rival. But since Lively has mastered only one facial expression - something between surprise and a burp - the writers wisely shifted the story’s heart to Meester. She can move from witchy to lovelorn in a blink and cut through the script’s camp simply by lowering her gaze, exhibiting range and poise befitting a talent much older than 23.

Enjoy her on your TV while you can. She is going places, and that’s not idle talk.

You see?? THE QUEEN is rightfully praised. THAT is journalism. Boston Herald? You're our morning Hero - because you know the Canadians will be the evening one ;)

The online tattletale plays a big part in next week's "GG" season finale when she kicks off graduation festivities by calling the elite of Constance and St. Jude out.

HOLY HELL ON A BASS STICK!

Gemma Arterton had her big moment last fall, when she popped up briefly as Bond girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace before getting axed in the name of a giant red herring. But she's about to get a whole lot more screentime, playing tortured young Cathy opposite Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick's Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, an adaptation of the classic Emily Bronte novel.

THR is reporting that Peter Webber, who made the period piece Girl WIth a Pearl Earring, will direct the script by Olivia Hetreed. Arterton and Westwick are both replacing former cast members Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender, who bounced out about a year ago. The idea here is to get away from "stuffy costume drama," which probably won't be hard with Westwick, a popular TV star, on board. Joe Wright breathed new life into Jane Austen with Pride & Prejudice. We'll see what Webber can do for Bronte.

There is a variety of reason we LOVE Buddy TV. One of them is their crude reviews that we tend to love and agree with. If we weren't married to Ausi we would marry Buddy TV. After Gossip Guy, of course.

The Review:

Last night on Gossip Girl, we were all taken hostage by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage in their cliche-powered time machine to 1980-something and forced to come along for an asinine exploration of Lily's "wild" past. On a normal week, this might be a bit forgivable because of all the flashy, distracting 80's fashions and music. (And No Doubt!)

Maybe. But, to add insult to sepia-toned injury, this week in Gossip-world was Constance/St. Jude's Prom Week.

PROM, you guys! And we missed it. Well, most of it. All so we could listen to Brittany Snow ask some poor-man's-Ed Westwick (who actually is poor, and also too clean-cut to be a valley punk): "Is this the moment when you fall in love with me?"

Actually, no, Lily, it's not that moment yet. How about never? Does never o'clock work for you?

Listen, Josh 'n' Steph: First, you impose your boring Lily backstory on an episode that should have been devoted solely to our actual characters' pinnacle high school experience. Then you try to cover up the fact that you're hijacking our show to pitch an unrelated spin-off by forcing connections between the real story and the craptastic 80's flashbacks that are tenuous and superficial at best. Sewing together a horse and a rhino does not a unicorn make. (HAHAHAA!!)

Especially when the rhino is as ugly as this one. Sorry Gossip Girl producers, but here are the reasons I hope the rumors are true that your spin-off is D.O.A.:

The Cast: Minor characters aside (because Cynthia Watros as CeCe and Krysten Ritter as Carol were not half bad), Brittany Snow as Lily was a joke. She's got the vacant, infantile, annoying but non-threatening, doe-eyed presence of a suburban cheerleader, not the uptight, undersexed, overspoiled, daddy-issues-deluded superiority of a WASP-in-training. Plus, Snow has huge, overpowering BLUE eyes, unlike Kelly Rutherford's slimmer, obviously brown eyes. And don't get me started on Owen and "Shep" (I can't forgive that name), who make Jenny Humphrey look like Debbie Harry with all their rocker edginess.

The Script: "Is this the moment when you fall in love with me? It is, isn't it?" A good actress couldn't even save that line from going into my ears and coming out my mouth in vomit-form. And Brittany Snow ain't that. The parts of the script not covered in cheese were still so terribly obvious and explicit. Especially the introduction of Carol, that sister we barely/never knew Lily had, but whom everyone else does know, making it both bad writing and cheap exposition when Lily says things like, "Hey Mom and Dad, remember my sister Carol, the one who ran away and wanted to become an actress, but she's not good at it? Yeah, her. Carol. Free bird, bad actress. Crazy ol' Carol."

The Plot: So Serena got arrested, which compelled adult-Lily to gaze out the window and wistfully sing, "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" as she remembered her own wild days of mayhem and incarceration, and realize that they aren't so different, she and her buxom young blonde daughter. They were both repressed by horrible mothers, and they both ended up in jail because they were brave enough to fight the good fight defending what was good and true, hopes and dreams, freedom and justice, what have you. Except that Lily is the one who GOT Serena arrested by lying to the police about her daughter stealing a bracelet that she GAVE to Serena to show her pride in how much Serena had grown and matured. Adult-Lily defended her manipulative and immoral mothering, and then turned around and told her own mother how much she still hated her for always playing evil puppeteer with her children's lives, so CeCe should just get out and stay out, forever. So the spin-off hopes to tell the coming of age tale of a character whom we all just witnessed--as a grown-ass woman in command of three minors and many billions of dollars--has the emotional maturity and sense of responsibility of a hormonal preteen. Great start.

Gratuitous 80's References: The spin-off is set in the 80's. We get it, and that's great. But at a certain point what you probably think is "striving for temporal authenticity", or even "striving for a balance of fun, campy callbacks" becomes "striving for lazy and gratutious." You jammed Rubix cube, MTV/music videos references, Olivia Newton John/Madonna/Janet Jackson outfit-changing dance montage, Tom Cruise lookalike, and at least 5 fannypack jokes into your twenty-minute 80's adventure. It was a sleight of hand that sacrificed too much actual plot for nostalgic glitz and glitter. And the trick was obvious.

So thanks a lot, Josh and Stephanie.

You made our final Gossip Girl Prom rushed and unsatisfying--words that should only be reserved for losing one's virginity after Prom.

You pawned off a million storylines to the finale episode: Georgina Gone Bad, Ponzi-Poppy, Lovechild, Yale Money, Proposal, Queen of the Steps, Uncle Jack on New Year's Eve, and Taking Down Gossip Girl. You have no chance of successfully resolving them all--but if this last rush job is an indication, I'm betting you will try, which will distract from the one story we all love, the story you half-assed last night: Chuck and Blair. (LONG LIVE BUDDY TV!!!!!!)

And you did it with a poorly executed spin-off exposition that made me kind of hate the 80's.

And for that, I'm not sure if I can forgive you.

Yet I can't help but ask myself in a suspicious uncommon manner if I rather they do Serenate right rather than hook them up at the last moment in the season. Now, I know they teased us with this at the very end of last season and it amounted to nothing but I really am hopeful that this time they will finally give me Serenate. But I rather that they give it to me right. You know? I dont want a Nair-mesh up. I rather have the build-up. So, in reality, I rather she doesn't end the season with Nate like she did last time but running off with Carter and leaving the gentlenate alone might be better. As you all can see, here in KAG we are split as to what we want to do with Nate. I'm a Serenate fan, Inca tends to just like Nate gay but she's sympathetic towards the NJ movement. We dont mind, Nate is such a whore he can do anyone he likes (with the GRAND exception of Blair who belongs to Chuckles and the hobo-barista that put us to sleep).

So, if you like Serena like me vote in. If you dont, go away :P

In other finale news, Little J comes into her own (and there's a nice rapprochement between her and Blair), Gossip Girl calls Nate a whore, you won't realize Lily-Rufus spawn is already there until the very last minute and there's a hint that several familiar background faces might become recurring or even regular characters in season three. (We'll tell you more about the realistic prospects for those recurrences after you've all seen the finale on May 18.)

I cannot tell you how SHOCKED I am that the Nair kiss is fake. I mean. Just SHOCKED. But what really makes me just LOVE this is that FINALLY someone calls Nate a whore and it's said by the only person that matters!! Apparently 'Lily' is still twitching. Inching by as everyone considers it dead. It seems to me that 'Lily' is the new Nair. Only it may or may not last the full 4 minutes. Really, people need to get their reporting straight. I got all excited that it was not happening and now you tell me it is and I'm just emotional right now, ok?? Though the gossip on the "Gossip Girl" spin off is, as I reported yesterday, that the series will not make it to your TV this fall, a network insider tells me this rumor is preposterous.

So apparently two types of Chaces have been seen lately parading about. Quite honestly both are disturbing to us as we know he's an extremely handsome guy. He's not my type but he's a lot of people's types. Especially if you've just hit puberty (or like Mr. Cullen). So let us study some of the 'looks' he's been sporting lately.

Hmm... Only Chace has actually been in movies that have gone to the theatre and is in the process of filming more with other credible actors. But obviously he can't act if people are hiring him. Chace was given the golden character, he could've made him something wonderful but he didn't. That's that.

"pfff this topic is getting more and more ridiculous!! A) I don't understand why not can be a Chair fan a Nair fan or a Vuck fan or any other couple fan too??? B) Please dont tell me you enjoyed Chair and expect me to believe it. How long did you like them for? Three episodes? I'm thinking no more than five - I think you just need something to believe in; no couple has captivated you beyond words hence why you're bouncing around here like a Cat in a Hat.

C) It almost seems like what made her 'loose' her love for Chair was the fans which makes no sense because you should love the couple for what they are, what they've been through and what they will become rather than the fans. I mean, are you shipping fans here or a show? We can almost call it a type of reverse peer-pressure or some sort of rage against the machine.

D) And disliking a couple because of the fans is not childish and immature?

E) I dont know which Chuck-fans you've been talking to but we have never denied that Chuck is bad. We LOVE him naughty; Blair LOVES him naughty. Why else would she had added her line in her love confession about 'darkest thoughts'? Now, Chuck is changing, I know it may be hard for you to comprehend but this is called Character Development. This is when characters CHANGE from their original selves and GROW UP. Hence dropping things like his womanizing ways once he's with Blair and why he is having such inner turmoil with everything because he's attempting to resist the change. I know, it's hard. Very few characters in GG have actually done it so I can see how you'll be confused. Here, have a drink.

Okay, This may sound crazy. But I have been thinking that Serena was just a way for Blair to meet Dan. Think about it. Blair would never be caught dead in brooklyn. (Other than to sabotage someone.) She would never pay attention to someone like Dan at school because she would see no designer labels and completely look through him. With Serena dating Dan, Blair had no choice but to acknowledge him. Serena and Dan can't get back together because their whole relationship now is teeming with incest. I know not fully, but it's still pretty messed up. Plus, why would the writers put Lily and Rufus together again after all the shit they have been through just to tear them apart again? Lufus deserves to be together before Derena. Sorry Derena fans. So Derena is dead and gone. Plus, they work better as a brother/sister relationship. Blair still sees Dan because of Serena. He has now been on her radar for a while. It would only be a matter of time. But about half way through the episode, I grew tired of interrogating this Ponzi scheme nonsense (and how ready I am for Blair and Chuck to just make it work already). Instead, I decided to just give in to the silliness of it all... which led me, of course, to the old days of Saturday morning cartoons, and a fun new theory:

The Gossip Girl gang is the new Scooby gang.

Don't believe me? We had all the essentials last night: intrigue, backstabbing, mystery, an evil genius, a fall man... and even disguises! Here's what happened:

Via a foolproof pregnancy ruse, Serena and the gang discovered that it wasn't Gabriel, but actually Poppy Lifton was behind the theft of the century, and they plotted to catch her in the act using Georgina Sparks, who disguised herself as an oil heiress interested in investing with the Lifton Fund for Third World Wireless. But they were thwarted by a shocking twist, so the whole plan backfired: Dan lost his Yale money, Georgina lost all her Bible money, Serena's in jail, and Nate and Blair are going to Prom together. All the money is gone, and the crook is still on the loose!

And the more I thought about my theory, the more it made more sense than anything that actually happened during "The Wrath of Con."

So who's who in our Scooby Gang?

Blair is Velma. She's the sharp-tongued leader of the gang, and the resident genius in uncovering clues. Like Velma, Blair has a penchant for maryjanes, sweater sets, and bossing people around. But don't let her goody-two-shoes facade fool you: beneath the power glasses (headband), there's a temptress who's not afraid to go after what she wants, though she's sometimes too near-sighted to know what (or who) that is, exactly.

Serena is Daphne. Most memorable for her hair and fashion sense, Daphne is also known for being vain and always finding a way to get herself into trouble. The stereotypical "damsel in distress," she in less intelligent and more flirtatious than Velma, and essentially incapable of escaping risky situations--most of which she created herself. Prone to too-short skirts.

Chuck is Fred. The smarter and bossier of the two males in the gang. Along with Velma, he's a leader, and can often be seen constructing elaborate traps for villains. A womanizer and lifelong ascot wearer, with a playful wink Fred has been known to ask the female gang members if they want to go "investigate" dark corners alone with him.

Nate is Shaggy. A cowardly ~~stoner~~ slacker with shaggy hair in his eyes all the time who is more interested in eating and hanging out than in solving mysteries. When he does come along, he's clueless and unhelpful. Treats Scooby like a normal person, when everyone else knows he is not.

Dan is Scooby Doo. Due to his differing species and intellectual impediments, he is more a pet than an actual friend of the gang. Scooby is also clueless and decidedly unhelpful--in fact, more often than not, he just makes things worse. Talks a lot, but most people can't understand what he's saying. Easily manipulated. Likely castrated.

Zoinks! Can the gang stop Old Mrs. Lifton from the haunted amusement park before she skips town with all the money and disappears forever? With the aid of a helpful witch named Georgina, the forecast is bright that we will soon be hearing those famous words (Gossip Girl style, of course): "And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!" Unless Dan screws it up. Which could totally happen.

if you would read our older posts then you would know that we have already theorized how Serena would react. She wouldn't be upset because she would not have those feelings for Dan anymore because now he is more like a brother to her. However she still knows what a great guy he is and knows how upset Blair is going to be when Chuck leaves her AGAIN, that she will be the one to bring them closer together. Serena will see the potential they have and give them the little push that they need. It's common fact that B and D won't get together on their own because they will be too embarassed with their own feelings.
I am not even going to comment on Chuck because he will move on easily. The only person I feel bad for is Nate in this situation.

ME: So this is pro-Dair, right? Yeah, you're going to have to move A LOT of shit around for this little theory to fall into place. I believe it's no secret that here at the Kool-Aid LOVE loving our peeps. Our peeps being Eddie, Leighton (all hail the queen!) and some others here and there. But yeah. It's mostly those two. So here it goes.

Apparently there was a costume gala. People could dress up as others, like a low-key Halloween party or a night to show off couture. As we've discussed Blake came as a siren (and Penn was her plus one, he makes an excellent +1). Ed came as James Bond. He's gone from HOT MESS to leaving US a HOTMESS. Props to him. Stay on target, McEddie!

Leighton (all hail the Queen!) came as Gretel but I suspect foul play from the corner of Lady Dreadlocks who left the bra and took the weave - at least she left the cannoli home too.

Yeah. Total foul play. At least the thing fits which is more than we can say about Lady Dreadlocks and the case of the missing brassiere/double-sided tape. I do love the Shirley Temple hair and Vuitton did a stellar job of fitting the chest area. But Leighton herself looked beautiful, as if she could look anything else! That's couture for you.

One should always begin a Sunday with a good old fashioned WANKING. It's a no-contest rule. It should be a the 12th commandment because you know the 11th one is thou shall only worship Chair. So... 12th commandment should be followed.

I never said he didn't have feelings for Blair; it just isn't love. He wants what he can't have. When did he put himself out for Nate, and Nate rejected it? When Nate needed somewhere to live? I don't blame Nate.. he probably has a REALLY tough time trusting Chuck after what he did. He knows Chuck can be a huge ass and low life. Just like last episode, he proved himself to be a huge dick by trying to steal Blair away from Nate. Chuck's feelings for Blair? Oh please, he's sleeping with a new girl every other episode. Because he IS the bad guy betwene the two in their friendship. I like Chuck as a character BECAUSE he is a sleaze bag. Yes, he has been sincere at some points in the past (aka trying to help Nate) but sorry, what he did to Nate was so much worse. If my best friend ever did that, I'd have a reeally reeeally hard time forgiving them. Oh right, because a good friend sleeps with his best friend's girlfriend? No, Chuck is the douchey friend.

ME: My favorite part of the whole thing is that she contradicts herself. So Chuck can't be trusted because he's done bad things but he's been sincere in trying to help Nate out. So which is it? And speaking of trust issues aren't we forgetting that it was with Blair's best friend that Nate fucked up with - and Blair is expected to forgive and forget yet Nate can't be bothered to do the same thing for his best friend? Because if I remember correctly Blair forgave her BOYFRIEND instantly. The LEAST Nate can do is offer forgiveness back to someone else. After it was done to him. But he neither forgave Blair or Chuck even when Blair came clean to him. On the contrary, he treated her like shit. Then he 'forgives' Chuck and turns around and gets mad at him for a reason we're still unfamiliar with.

You cannot put the blame on either here, the least you can do is woman up and realize that both have been in the wrong many times. And I'm not even arguing Chuck's feelings for Blair because we ALL know how he feels and Blair will also know in 3 episodes, the only one who is out of the loop is you. And really, once more Blair is not a commodity. She's not a stock bond. She's not property. The girl will make her own decisions and will go her own fucking way that she pleases. HOWEVER, she say it herself. Once Chuck confesses that he loves her she will be his. Just like she confessed that she loved him, hence his heart will always belong to her. They said it. Not me. The writers. Take it up with them.

Which means these percentages can drastically change. I actually believe Darena has much more fans OFFLINE than they do online. Of course Nair will have fans, they were the couple in the books, it's when you try to justify this plot-driven mess that gets you wanked. And ONCE MORE, bringing in physical appearance as a way to dethroning and putting down the ship is really not going to get you any respect from us. We've always said that Nate is really pretty. He's just that - pretty. Find a new angle.

the GG spoilers made it pretty freakin clear that B will end up with C in this season.
but what will happen next season? one of the reasons i think C is so into B is because of the excitement of the chase. i saw someone mentioned in one of the older posts that C only wants B when she's with another dude, and i think theyr totaly right!
in the next season i think C will grow bored of not having the excitement of pursuin B so he'll just go back to his old ways and let B fall flat on her face lol.

I honestly think Vanessa is the only girl Chuck could ever fall in love with, every scene they've had i've seen something so different in the way C is with her. It's like she's so anti-everything he is that he has this sort of inherent trust in her, or something idn. He always seems to let his guard down around her, in a way i never see with anyone else.

ME: OK, NO. You ridiculous Vucker, Chuck is ALREADY in love with Blair. He just hasn't said it. Blair needs him to say it. Statistically speaking the less people have in common, the less alike they are is the less they will last. It's just fact. Long marriages and strong marriages will always tell you 'we had so much in common'. I mean, isn't that what a friend says to you when they meet someone they really click with. Which is in term where the term 'click with' comes from. Any of this ring any bells? And you've obviously missed CHUNKS of episodes if you haven't seen Chuck letting his guard down because I accurately remember 1.08, 2.01, 2.07, 2.08, 2.13, 2.14 and 2.15 of Chuck showing Blair parts of him that no one sees. Stores must be sold out of blindfolds because MAN, you must've piled them on!

But i don't believe he's really in love with Blair, i think he's in love with the idea someone like Blair could love him... but i don't think he actually loves her because he can't accept the reality of being in love with a Blair that's "domesticated". Where as Vanessa is just the polar opposite, way more chill and not so focused on the "future".

ME: I still didn't get a reason as to why they would 'click well' together. I just know that she's his opposite and that she's focused on the future which in term would mean domestic tranquility, would it not? Same will chill would represent someone you can be calm and grow old with which will circle back to domestication.

Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl, has reportedly grown tired of living and working with Ed Westwick, who portrays Chuck Bass on The CW series. According to the New York Post, Crawford is moving out of the New York apartment he shares his Gossip Girl co-star and he's on the lookout for his own bachelor pad.

Production for Twelve already kicked off on April 20 in New York under the direction of Joel Schumacher.

Westwick can currently be seen in S. Darko, a mystery thriller set seven years after the first Donnie Darko film, when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a road trip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.

Vintage CHAIR!

If you love Chair then you will LOVE these. Per your request to the Nairy-like relationships we've compiled a few Chair-like ships. If you're not familiar with the films it's a good thing to enjoy during the Summer break :) I decided to do two batches. This one, which is Vintage Chair-like couples and then a more modern view of Chair later on.

Now, I am a firm believer that NOTHING is like Chair but a few comparisons are always amusing.

The Return of the Pink Panther (1975)

One of my absolute favorites. Sir Charles (heh) Litton is a retired jewel thief, his wife Claudine knows very well of his activities. Through the film Charles spends the movie attempting to find out who is pretending to be him (in a heist) but all along it was her who stole it. The best scene is without doubt the end when he rolls the breakfast cart to her hotel room, pays off the waiter, and surprises her in bed. To then reveal that it was SHE who stole the diamond all along. Both are so much alike, both love their little games. She stole the diamond because she realized he was bored and he appreciated it, which was adorable. Their little back and forth especially in that last scenes is very Chair-like. Especially when she admits to stealing the diamond and he looks at her with such admiration, reminds me a lot of our own Charles and Blair. To be honest Ed would make a wonderfully Sir Charles Litton and Leighton would be superb as Claudine. Both are conniving, both love one another very much, both love the game, love the high life and love playing Inspector Clouseau. If you have Netflix, they have the movie in 'view now' :)

Two for the Road (1967)

In Two for the Road it's almost like going back and forth in time. The good times in their relationship and the bad times and at the end the one thing that binds them together like glue is that they love one another more than they love anything else. There are so many Chair similarities between Joanna and Mark but the two favorites are when they're driving after a party one night and he asks her what would she do if he didn't exist and she replies that she would've married David (the Nate) and he's upset by it to which she retorts that he's in her life and there will never be another like him for her. She starts nibbling on his ear and he gives her a side looks JUST LIKE the one Chuck gives Blair in 1.17 when he says 'lets get the bitch'. They then proceed to have sex in the car :D Then the final scene of the film, it's years later and they've nearly reached divorce status a few times but they keep finding their way back to one another. They're driving through Europe and they talk about how they've changed, how they've grown up and maybe that's why they keep fighting because neither wants to admit that they've grown up. They reach a country border and he realizes he can't find his passport. He freaks and starts searching the trunk while she, cool as a cucumber, pulls it out of her purse and pins it on the steering wheel. He comes back and is still frantically looking for it when he spots it and he smirks at her. He kisses her and says 'bitch' and she smiles back at him and says 'bastard'. And thus it end. Chair in the making. One of the scenes.

Cleopatra (1963)

If you've read some articles that have compared Ed and Leighton as the new Taylor and Burton then this is the movie they're referring to. If you've never watched it, do it. Because you're missing out on one of the most spectacular on-screen chemistry ever captured on film. Cleopatra, being a Queen in her own right, knows this and she's politically wise, uses herself to do what she has to do to maintain her throne. She's smart, sexy, manipulative and very much a woman who will fall in love. To me, the film gets interesting once it's time for Antony to step in. She's the widow of his once good friend, Caesar, and at first he helps her escape Rome. He becomes one of the triumvirates of Rome and the scene that just captures the power struggle between the two is when he arrives back in Egypt, after they've had a n affair and she makes him kneel before her. The tension and the amazing acting from both Taylor and Burton is very reminiscence of the chemistry Ed and Leigthon have. "You Will Kneel" and "Never Be Free of You"

The Philadelphia Story (1940)

This films starts off with Dexter and Tracy getting a divorce. Both are Philadelphia socialites, both love one another but their back and forth games and plotting end their marriage. Years later Tracy is about to get married and Dexter, without anyone knowing it, forms an extensive plot to get his wife back. Through a few hours he manages to run off the groom, let her think she's fallen for a poor poet only to turn around and marry him once more. I love that when he confronts her with her flaws she fights them yet she ends up repeating his words at later time. I also love how he almost has nothing to do with the plot but is always hanging out in the background throwing in smart-ass comments to make the viewer believe that Tracy and Mike is the main love story until the end when you realize that they're both very much in love with one another and that even though she realizes he plotted the whole thing she still loves the bastard. "You had more to do with this than anyone else. // Possibly, but you were a great help."

Sabrina (1954)

There's a few versions of this, my personal favorite is the Audrey and Humphrey one and I think Blair would agree ;) Linus and David are two brothers who both fall in love with the same girl, Sabrina and this film really captures the Nate/Blair/Chuck dynamic. Especially this new triangle we're seeing when Nate finally really wants Blair, the same thing happens with David when he finally wants Sabrina. You see, David never really wanted Sabrina while she always wanted him. Linus, afraid of what this will mean for the business, makes a plot to keep Sabrina entertained and away from David but while his plot is being plotted they end up falling for one another. My favorite is that in the end David, realizing that his brother is in love with Sabrina makes his brother fight for Sabrina before the entire board of directors, this spurts Linus to run after his Sabrina and confess his love. Very NBC. Sabrina realizes it was a ploy and David realizes Linus is in love with Sabrina. & The Final Scene

The Thomas Crown Affair (1968 & 1999)

I dont know why Vicki was renamed to Catherine in the remake, I personally loved them both because the concept and their personalities are very much the same as is the plot. Basically Thomas Crown is a billionaire with too much time and money in his hands. In the originally he steals from the Bank of Geneva and in the remake he steals a painting for some fun. Vicki/Catherine is sent in to retrieve the money/painting and she does so by seduction. The awesome thing is that Thomas knows all about what she's doing the entire time because she blatantly tells him she's investigating him. I have a few favorites in both films. In the original, hands down Chess as foreplay (King & Queen??) & the 1-minute kiss takes the cake. In the remake is the final few minutes of the film when he returns the painting, avoids being arrested and makes her realize that he really does love her all the while 'Sinnerman' plays in the background. That and the plane scene "I'm going to break both your legs".

Star Wars Trilogy (1970's & 1980's)

She was a haughty Princess, commanding the rebel forces, she was the scoundrel captain of his own ship that answered to no one and really didn't care for the greater good of humanity. The three things he cares about in life is Chewy, his ship and money. Sounds familiar? Their banter starts right away as Luke stands by like an idiot - a lot like Nate as Han and Leia jump right to the wrong foot. As the movies progress you see them shift from fighting all the time, to admiration for one another, to denying their feelings (esp on her side) so finally admitting love for one another. The scene that is most resonating of Chair is when Leia tells him that she loves him - to which he answers 'I know' with a slightly cocky grin. Their chemistry sizzles and they're well written to boot. Some of their best moments.

Gone with the Wind (1939)

I think any fan of Chair can agree that the dynamic between Rhett and Scarlett has Chair written all over it. Why, you may ask if you've never seen it. Mostly because Rhett and Scarlett are the same people in two bodies. Both ruthless, shrewd and self-interested. Yet once they begin falling in love with one another it changes a lot. I for one, believe the GWTW comparison only pertains for Chuck/Blair episodes 1.01-1/13. It ends after Chuck tells her he doesn't want her anymore because that's where the movie ends. Chair goes off into their own story. But for those episodes, Rhett's ardent pursuit of Scarlett, her stubborn resistance, their bickering, their kisses, their fights, his jealousy and her sudden realization that he's the one she wants all too late is very reminiscent of Chuck/Blair. The show has even gone as far as to make Chuck state the last line of the film. "Tomorrow is another day" which are Scarlett's last words on her determination to get Rhett back. Some favorite scenes:

GRADUATION, GOSSIP GIRL DRAMA AND CLIFFHANGERS GALORE! — Gossip Girl decides to liven things up at the Constance Billard and St. Jude’s graduation by sending out a shocking and damaging email blast in the midst of the commencement ceremony, stirring Serena (Blake Lively) to come up with a plan of attack. The Mean Girls (guest stars Yin Chang, Nicole Fiscella, Amanda Setton and Dreama Walker) challenge Jenny (Taylor Momsen) to throw her hat in the ring to succeed Blair (Leighton Meester) as Queen Bee next year. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) struggle to repair their relationship after Lily’s betrayal. As for the cliffhangers, Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick) finally…and Serena is shocked by…and Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) decides to…and Dan (Penn Badgley), Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) unknowingly….and it all happens in the series’ climactic season finale. Jesus christ! This storyline never ends, she's repeating the SAME words from 2.12!!

I'm calm because I'm just glad we're moving towards a Chair-ending I just loose it at times and get a bit fucking impatient.
