What is this– Oscar season for lists of hot women? Sheesh. In the past week at least three lists have come out that feature the top 50 or 100 beautiful women/people. What gives?
And on every single one of those lists you will find Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. These chicks are rocking it this year and have been recognized by a plethora of magazines for their style and good looks.
So what is the latest list where both ladies make the grade? That would be Glamour Mag’s “50 Most Glamorous Women of 2009.”
Blake makes the list at number 28 with the description: “She plays with fashion and pulls it off.” Leighton edges out her co-star by a mere margin once again and comes in at number 26. A reader wrote in saying: “She seems to have more fun with clothes than her character does.”

Isn't Glamour marketing itself as empowering for women? At least for some reason I thought so. What's the deal with making the list and ranking girls against one another? Sheesh! Everything is a feaking competition!
