ReplyDeleteIt's that she's using her sexing of Ed to get publicity and boost her career. It's that despite her being just an awful actress they continue to let her weaken the show. It's that nothing on the show seems to be sacred in their efforts to pimp her and salvage her career. It's that feminism goes to die a bit every time she exploits her boyfriend and giggles. It's that she did everything in her power to pimp and play up a storyline that killed the show for a great number of people, and was so damn SMUG about it. It's that she's such a blatant attention whore who has been a big part in the destruction of a great show, and yet apparently is made of teflon. It's that we weren't allowed to speak out about her or the character at all in most places as many of us saw the show go down the tubes. It's that she's going to be front and center in season 3 despite killing every storyline she's ever touched.
Feel free to screen or wank this mods, didn't mean to speak for you.

What's Up With Vanessa and Nate? Jessica tells us that V will get over Nate's dalliance with Blair sooner rather than later. According to Szohr, "Obviously, Vanessa's a little bit hurt because that's her boyfriend, but what comes around goes around, so I'm sure Vanessa will be all right."
What About Vanessa and Dan? Could Danessa ever hook up? Jessica tells us, "I don't know if I could see Vanessa and Dan together because now that she's come back and accepted his loving Serena, and he's always there for her through so many things with Nate, I think they're just good friends. I don't know if they'll ever date. But it's Gossip Girl, so..."
Will There Be More Between Vanessa and the Basshole? Jessica tells us, "Vanessa hates Chuck...that's what's fun about it. We'll see." Sounds like there could be more spiciness in store for those two, somewhere down the line...

ReplyDeleteaww, jess was always shiny and happy and giggly before gossip girl entered her life. i never really even though that she's... using ed for publicity. because, really, EJ was a decision on both Ed's and Jess's parts. plus, you really can't blame her for the storylines. :/ vanessa's character has to be there. its the writers who chose to fuck everything up.

It's funny that Ed keeps saying he's single and she's finally admitting their "relationship". They have to stay on the same page. I give it another couple of months.

ReplyDeleteThis is a social commentary site more than a fandom commentary site. When a newspaper trashes a US president for being an idiot and a redneck people praise it and stand behind it. Do we PERSONALLY know this person that is being criticized? No. We dont have dinner with them, we dont chill with them or hang out but we rally behind the commentary or become offended by it.
When websites call Paris Hilton an idiot with no brain that is a very personal attack on a person we dont know personally either.
When people trash Tom Cruise for being a controlling husband we're ok with it. These people are celebrities. Some will like them, some will be OK with them and some others will downright hate them. And we will talk about it; as much as we like. Jessica is also a celebrity and will be exposed to plenty of criticism as it is. What happens if in the future she gets a very public DUI? You think people wont say worse things? These are celebrities and it's an ugly business but it's the reality of things. This is the career the entire cast of the show chose.
The only difference here is that those of you who come, as one of you said, for the CB commentaries and the non-Jess related comments most likely dont agree with half the shit we bitch about about anyways but you know what? That's OK. We're not here to change your mind and I'm pretty sure we're not going to change it. But please do no believe that you will change my mind or Inca's mind. And that's that.
I need you all to be aware that half the shit we post about in this site is a heightened reality of what we most likely feel. You're not meant to take half the things we post about seriously, half the time we're being sardonic, we have a crude sense of humor but it's our way of expressing our current dissatisfaction with the show. It's our way of showing it.
I do not want my readers to have to defend their comments, those of you who really come here for the entire thing. So, the only thing I can suggest to those of you who believe our anti-Jess rants are of poor taste is simply not to read it. We tag all of our entries for that reason. This is not meant as an apology but more as an explanation. I am not offending her fans, I'm attacking her and my distaste for her as a PUBLIC individual.
And I am very much aware that no amount of bitching on my part will 'break them up' I'm not delusional; we are, as a lot of you understand, online personalities and let me emphasize that half the shit we post about we're not as angry about. This site is meant to be entertaining and really was never meant to be taken seriously. Please dont because to be honest with you we dont take ourselves very seriously; we laugh at most the shit we say because this show is for entertainment just like this site it.
