You know... if I wasn't such a bitch I would actually feel bad for Savage. If SHE wasn't such a bitch I would also consider that in the whole 'feel bad for Savage' movement that has been going on with us since she's been the face of production with GG recently.
I mean... talk about SERIOUS damage control. Normally a show wouldn't give away the status of their main couple for the finale like they're doing right here but as you know we're all fucking pissed and would've otherwise walked out had we not known Chair was having their happy ending this time around.
So it's natural that in every single magazine article and every statement they continue reiterating that 'DONT WORRY, GUYS, KEEP WATCHING, CHAIR IS COMING!'
I would feel bad for them if they hadn't pissed me off so much with shitty storylines, some of which I still can't fucking explain no matter how smart my posts may seem.

I was thinking the same thing reading that... clearly they are trying to make sure we stick around... It is almost desperate.

At this point I do not trust Savage one bit. And Josh couldnt care less about GG. So Im not really sure that they can EVER compensate for the SHIT THEY PUT ME THROUGH THIS YEAR. It has to be one motherfucking amazing reunion that srsly BLOWS ME THE FUCK AWAY that I would even start considering watching season 3.
ReplyDeleteThis is all so depressing, I used to LOVE Gossip Girl, I was EXCITED to see it, I LOVED Josh (GASP yes, there was a day when I loved that man for creating Chair) and I didnt have a problem with Savage (DOUBLEGASP). Now all I do is bitch and moan and whine and get depressed when I see what they have done to CB. *sighs*
I thinks it's sad that they're doing so much damage control in the first place. But I'm all giddy that Chair is back, so I suppose I can be happy about that. They better be together for season 3, or at least not make them go through what they went this season. Don't bring back Nair or CV. That's all I ask of the GG writers. Oh they better not even think about putting BD together.

Although I'm very excited to hear the good news by the "boss" herself, I can't help but thinking it's rather pathetic that Stephanie gave out all this info as soon as last Monday's ratings were announced (really bad ones!). It feels as if she acknowledges how fucked-up her show has been for quite sometime now and now she's out there throwing baits at people to sit back and watch! Episodes 17-20 (imo) have been so crappy that it's gonna take a while to turn all this negativity around. At least, I hope they learnt their lesson and they won't go on with shitty storylines for our beloved Chair in season 3. I hope they can give us the Chair we deserve!

ReplyDeleteWhile I agree that it's totally desperate, at least the CW hasn't released a Chair Love music video celebrating the upcoming episode in which Chuck and Blair finally announce their love, like a certain network with a certain comedy about meeting mothers has done.

i too found it quite amusing that savage had to basically give the whole plot away in a desperate move to keep the fans watching. it's pathetic. i guess their omfg moments dont go down too well anymore - hrm, wonder why.
ReplyDeleteand IA with annony 1:20 - three words eight letters just like that is never going to make up for th b/s of a entire season - i need explainations, and an AH-MAZING final episode with everything out in the open thankyouverymuch - none of those dirty cv and nb secrets being left over for next season. oh, and preferably about 3/4 of an episode worth of seeing cb passionately makeing out wld probably be the way to go towards delievering that AH-MAZING episode i want to see...
