There are a variety of reasons as to why we fucking LOVE Ausiello. For one, he was just as depressed as us when Nair was announced. He straight out said to Savage 'excuse me?' when she claimed the snowy kiss was 'sweet' or whatever the fuck she called it. Second, he almost rebelled against Gossip Girl for a while, didn't he? If he had nothing good to say he said nothing at all unlike Kristen who kept talking like a parrot. So yeah, we love him. And have you seen him in interviews? He's fucking adorable and you can tell he KNOWS what is going on in the show. So we crush Ausiello. And today he doesn't disappoint us either.
Question: I need Gossip Girl scoop, preferably about the prom. --Lindsay
Ausiello: Revenge-seeking Chuck, furious at Blair for attending the big ball with Nate, hatches a plan to make Nelly Yuki prom queen. Meanwhile, Dan and Serena end up going together, but as friends, not lovers.
This makes me happy and I'll tell you the reasons.
- Makes us question, IF Nair are in this stable relationship by episode 2.24 why would Chuck be furious at them attending prom together? It's only natural that you and your boyfriend would go together unless... GASP.... can it be? Can it be that maybe Archangel Gabriel came down from heaven and is sending us a message that Nair are actually NOT together by 2.24 and actually going as friends. Chuck would know that they're not together and naturally would be pissed she she's going with Nate, even if they're going as friends.... so yeah. Some food for thought.
- We know from pictures that:
* Blair is holding a crown on the steps, hence she wins Prom Queen
* That in the very next episode Chuck kisses Blair without saying 'I love you' and she accepts the kiss, only after the kiss does he says he loves her. She must be OK with him in order to allow him to kiss her. - Our friend Ausiello has confirmed that Chair fans will LOVE both episodes 2.24 and 2.25 which tells me that it'll be good for Chair at the end
- Chuck plotting is fucking hot
So color us strange but we're actually HAPPY about this spoiler. All I know is that this is quickly turning once more into the Chuck and Blair show, the reason we've become obsessed individuals who sip diet coke by our laptops and scour the net for CB-news. FINALLY!!
I know some of you are claiming that Chuck's character is regressing, but HONESTLY. HONESTLY. Can we even expect any growth now days from this show? I'm sorry to say that our expectations are low in this regard but Chuck plotting is back to his real self of being all about Blair which is the Chuck Bass we fell in love with. And dont know how this will turn out, so let us wait and see, Ausiello has never told us something we didn't agree with. In Ausiello-we-trust!!

God, it feels good to be able to see past the Kool-Aid!! Is it Sunday yet? I forgot how awesome it was to look forward to Sundays!
it's hilarious how quickly i want my weekend to past so i can get to monday - i mean usually i want my weekend to go slow cos monday is the begining of the week, but now that GG is back in form... :D :D :D
ReplyDeletealso, i for one complete agree with u girls and am not complaining that chuck is going back to his scheming ways. i mean if he was "back in his scheming days" as recent as 2.20 where his "scheme" was [*censored* because i'm going to start swearing at this point], i'm sure as hell glad that his new scheme seem to be more chuck bass style than the previous one. he's sure redeeming himself fast in my eyes :D
I thought it sounded a bit like cotillion take 2, but with a different ending (hopefully).
ReplyDeleteSeriously agree. I mean...I miss plotting Chuck. I miss vaguely sociopathic Chuck. I miss smart!Chuck.
ReplyDeleteA lot of what we've gotten this season is emo!Chuck, vaguely!dumb Chuck, and Forgotten!Who!The!Hell!Blair!is!Chuck. I've loved some of it, but most of it has made me really annoyed. I would do a straight up swap of season 1 Chuck for season 2 Chuck any day. I'd even put cash on the table to get season 1 Chuck back.
"Chuck plotting is back to his real self of being all about Blair which is the Chuck Bass we fell in love with" WORD! Oh, you two are awesome. And...Chuck wanting to get to take Blair to cotillion but not quite knowing how to go about it was one of the weirdly sweetest moments this show has ever had, so I'm glad to see that back.
You two are the best. and loving c_d's comment on his recent "plot" *vomit* as well.
The other thing that makes me happy? D/S going together because it suggests that possibly she who irritates the hell out of all of us will NOT be there. Of course, she'll probably be "filming the video documentary".
ReplyDeleteIA, this is classic Chuck! We know Blair ends up with a crown and probably at a good point with Chuck. Somehow his plan does come to fruition. As seen in the fabulous 204, Chuck can create a masterpiece with a good scheme. I look forward to some decent storytelling for what few minutes of Chuck/Blair related story we get in this episode!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing! Why would he be pissed if she's going with her boyfriend? The episode description for 2.23 says that things come to a head between C & N over B. Maybe that's when NB break up. *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wonder if Chuck actually asks Blair to prom. Like, "Will you be my date for the prom?" I can't wait.
Excatly what I thought.
ReplyDeleteIt's normal if she'd decided to go with her boyfriend, and even though even that would make Chuck upset, I don't think he would decide to scheme because of it.
Possibility is that NB do break up in 223, and decide to stay friends *heads to what Savage said about them getting a good closure when ending* and Chuck decides to ask Blair to prom, but she turns him down because her and Nate have deicded to attended as friends, or fake it so people don't yet know they're broken up or whatever...
I will keep my fingers crossed. At least we know the episode will be something good for us.
"Chuck plotting is fucking hot"
ReplyDeleteYES.
I was so scared for a second when you mentioned us sipping diet pepsi, because at the moment I read that, I was sipping a diet coke. lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with reasons 1-3, but #4? Extra A+++.
The second half of the season failed BECAUSE Chuck stopped being all about Blair. Thank God Mr. Bass has come to his senses.
ReplyDelete9:03...so true! SO SO TRUE. And the ratings show that yes?
ReplyDeleteIt really got interesting for me when Chuck started stocking Blair again. lol.
ReplyDeleteI am tired of him sabotaging Blair because it seems to never work. He needs to tell her those 3 words and stop waisting my time LOL
