Talk about biased essay picks. How old are you Kristin? 36? 40? Middle aged woman who is obsessed with Chuck Bass? I mean, i know Chuck fan girls are delusional, and their obsession scares me to the point of no return, but I always assume these are brainless tweens who love to follow the crowd becaus oh wow... "Chuck is mysterious, Chuck is sexy, he's the best character on the show and nothing he does is ever wrong" but day in and day out i read your biased spoilers, and your Chuck Bass obsession manages to give me a good laugh lol talk about pathetic. But yeah, go Chuck*rolls eyes*... I'm **** sure there were essays with much more substance in favor of NB, but go ahead and do as you please with this. Oh and next time you post spoilers please try to keep your biased comments to yourself. Just do your job and give us spoilers. No one cares who you ship.

The Nate-Blair manifestos looked like they had been copied and pasted from message boards or comments sections of recaps which rendered the 'debate' slightly one-sided. I used to be a Chuck-Blair fan, but the last few episodes have built up the Nate-Blair relationship nicely and whilst Chuck and Blair do seem to share some kind of physical attraction, the Blair that we see with Nate is less scheming and more sweet and childlike. With Chuck, the pair act like they are already 30 years old with the weight of the world on their shoulders, playing out twisted cruel intentions like games, and with Nate she endearingly discusses pop culture (Brad-Angelina), and reminises about growing up. Although it is not angst filled it is certainly sweet and endearing, and seems like a more healthy and lasting relationship. As Chuck himself said they both like the thrill of the chase, whereas with Nate they genuinly seem to enjoy each others company doing everyday things that teens their age would do.
ME: ANOTHER motherfucking liar! I love these! Let us access why she's a fucking liar. One. You would KNOW that Nair has gotten NO TYPE OF BUILD-UP. An episode DOES NOT MAKE A BUILD-UP. Two. Sweet, endearing does not make a lasting relationship and reverting to a childlike persona actually show signs of regression NOT progression. Get with the motherfucking program. And they're 18 in a few months Blair will be 19 and a year short of no longer being a teen. Finishing High School should be about growing up. Maturing. Not recidivating.

ME: They're organizing now! I love it! Like little hamsters all bringing their pebbles together. I love that one of the reasons that Nate = AWESOME is because he's STRONG. And funny! I mean, his sense of humor CRACKS ME UP! I can't stop laughing when he's on screen. It must be the way Chace works in confusion into his character. AND he's RICH and FAMOUS and he's the perfect DATE. I can't kick this one anymore, it's too sad and pathetic.

I didn't get into Buffy until later - Buffy has two ships but it's not a triangle. They develop at different points in her life. I prefer Spike/Buffy they have a Chair-like dynamic in the fighting and constant battle but not really. Maybe Chair early S1 until the NBC things falls apart.

I'm not sure if he actually went through with it or not. So basically, if you're gonna compare, you'd be saying Nate's capable of that too. I don't think that's the comparison they're looking for, but maybe they're so on the Kool-Aid now, it no longer matters.
ReplyDeleteOk, I experienced my very first heart attack after reading about the spuffy-nair-comparison.... I´ve known and seen buffy from the beginning, i have all seasons on dvd at home and as one hell of a spuffy-shipper, I know every tiny bit of dialogue/scene between the two characters. So I think I have a pretty good understanding of spuffy and it´s just the most ugly insult EVER to compare spuffy with nair... (and yes, spike did try to rape her, but she stopped him before he could went through with it) yeah, i can totally see that coming between Nate and Blair in the final ep of this season! just what we expect from Nate! *loool*
ReplyDeleteand by saying/writing that a realtionship between Nate and Blair is probably more lasting and less angst (which may be true?!), but that comment kind of just reminds me of couples, who know, that their relationship isnt working anymore, but who are just too fucking lazy, comfortable and afraid of being alone to just end it! Yes, I´m sure that the 2 of them still have feelings for each other, they do have history and all.... but if you ask me, the bottom line is, that Blair could EITHER be quite happy with Nate OR (!!!) reach the highest possible level of happiness with Chuck, whom she REALLY LOVES, and who LOVES her back, even if he behaves like an emotional crippel sometimes! sooner or later even Chuck has to become a grown-up... and Blair too has still some growing up to do - but I just KNOW, that when both of them are ready,then the 2 of THEM can be so much better, bigger and greater than Nair!! :)
