Question: I'm begging here. Please give me something good on Gossip Girl's Chuck and Blair! All we've been getting is bad news and I need something to keep me sane! --Nadia Ausiello: This season's final two episodes will make you very happy.
In the mists of all the good news that seems to be coming out for us CB'ers one has to ask oneself. Is it all enough? I mean, we've known what was coming for the finale for a while now. We knew how this season was going to close out. We've known this. Yet... I have to be rational here for a moment while Inca fights her battles with those of you who fucking hate her.... what have you expected (knowing the couples that were going to be formed and those that would be destroyed) from the show, from the writers, from this all in order to mediate the errors that you feel have been done against you. In other words, what do you NEED from the show in order to bring back that Spark. That love, that first lust that made you fall so very in love with this show?
Maybe, you know, I see this all, this 'relationship' we have with this show to nearly mirror the Chair relationship. When it happens it begins as a lustful adventure. A fun-loving angle to even out the rump we've had with shows lately. Obsessions, desire, need, that unexpectedly turns to love. The problem is, once you're in love it's SO hard to let go. Because ANGER and FRUSTRATION simply signify that you're still madly in love with either what it was or what it could've been.
Of course you're still in love with it, you've felt abandoned, cheated, drained, disappointed, tired oh so very tired. You've walked away, been with others, attempted to feel the gap that this left behind but you still peek in, you know? You circle back. Just to see... just to make sure because there's still a little thin string that connects you back and you just cant let go. Because you HOPE and you BELIEVE in something wonderful. That when moments like the one above FINALLY come the other shows you tried to use as distraction or 'detours' wont matter. Because it finally all makes sense. To be in the arms of the one you love is as fabulous as falling back in love with a good fucking couple.
And a little HELLO to Ausiello who never gave up on CB and seemed almost like he was right down boycotting this fucking mess until he finally gave us something for CB. We feel you, Ausiello you're totally our new boyfriend since Jacob is in the doghouse.
BTW, 370 FUCKING SIGNATURES, BABY!!!
You know I love you Bbs right? Deeply.
ReplyDeleteAnd ausiello, love him for boycotting this bullshittery (because he never gave anything on NB, LOL, i think he was scared of the fandom and how they'd rip him like the fandom ripped korbi and the rest, LOL), and then always shipping CB till the end
Jacob is dead to me, until he comes up with poetic beauty about CB again.
I always prefer Ausiello to Kristin, because she basically get all of HER spoilers from spoilertv. And while Kristin is also a die-hard CBer, Ausiello is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteWhat the show needs? I've made a list.
1) A return of the Blair/Serena friendship.
2) More Eric scenes.
3) More VdB interaction.
4) More FRIENDSHIPS in general.
5) Nate needs to get punched.
6) Blair needs to find inspiration for her future.
7) Georgina as a regular (I LOVE HER)
8) Chuck needs a therapist.
I'll add more later.
I cant fucking talk about EJ, you know I just ate
ReplyDeleteYou know, maybe I'm easy to please, but I'm willing to forgive EVERYTHING if the end of the season gives me CB epicness. I will wipe the fucking slate clean and forget about everything that came before IF I CAN JUST GET A LITTLE FUCKING HAPPINESS for my couple. That is how much I need this. We have suffered enough getting to this point.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad it's not all happening in the season finale. I was so picturing shit going down at prom, and it looks like it's happening. I'm FOR SURE that NB are breaking up in that ep, if they haven't already. Maybe B will ask C to dance, like Joey did with Pacey. Oh man, I'm squeeing like a loon just thinking about it. Let's blame the bottle of champagne I drank earlier.
what i need is that the writers stop f*cking with us. i want them to write interesting scenes with witty dialogues. i dont care if the interaction is between serena and jenny or eric and nate [but by god they better keep vanessa and chuck apart after the last CHEAP stunt they pulled on us!] or the whole non judging breakfast club - i just want their writing to be good. i want the characters to have consistency, and the storylines to be plausible [so none of those 17 year olds chasing behind 30 year old hookers thank you]- and no, i DONT particularly want omfg moments after their last attempt at it. and i also want CB - lots and lots and lots of CB. they owe us chair fans a hell of alot after what they've put us thru!
ReplyDeleteOh show, how I hate you sometimes, yet you do this things to me and I can't quit you.
ReplyDeleteGG NEEDS:
1. Agreed, BS
2. Non-judging breakfast club
3. Brooklyn to explode
4. A season based only on CB having steamy scenes. (With some Serena, Eric and Dorota interaction...)
OMFG! BROOKLYN MUST EXPLODE!!! Take the fucking troll with it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Humphreys...
ReplyDeleteBut lets not be this bad, they can keep playing that annoying Rufus song in the background if they want, all in Brooklyn's memory!
And maybe, thay can keep little J. But just so that we can have Eric...
Chuck and Blair should have their own show where they scheme and solve crimes and have hot sex.
ReplyDeleteon a side note, i totally LOLed when i saw your disclaimer:
ReplyDelete"non of our thoughts or words are those of the writers"oh HELL no - we aint on that koolaid they're on! ><
I'm probably more demanding than most but this show has pushed me beyond my limit.
ReplyDelete1. Everything that choco_dreamer said.
2. As others said Blair and Serena stuff.
3. The Chuck of yore to return--smart, and willing to get his hands dirty for Blair, rather than the emotionally indiscriminate mess that he has become who requires other people to tell him what to do.
4. Vanessa off the show.
I'm sorry, with her still continuing on the show, season 3 will be a Trojan Horse that I will *not* let in the gates. The writers have shown that a)no sacrifice is to great if it helps prop V up and b)that they have forgotten who Chuck is, so I know that they will lead us back to a CVB triangle. I will never watch Blair or good writing be treated the way they were this season again.
Longest of long shots, though, eh? I'll always continue to read this site though. I don't know what the line about Inca fighting those who hate her is about but if help is needed...
Oh god I am going to be a WRECK after the finale, like the minimum will be me sobbing my eyes out- Im actually kind of worried.
ReplyDeleteI've put so much time and effort into shipping this couple, and I dont care anymore about all the roadblocks, I dont care about NB or CV. None of it matters as long as Chair have the happy ending that they deserve, I cant wait for that feeling :)
necr-ophelia mentioned the potential for joey and pacey epic-ness at the prom. THIS.
ReplyDeleteThat is what I want to see, raw fucking emotion and just supurbly acted and all the backstory and waiting that we've been doing will culminate in something that will just melt my tv screen...ughhh. I won't be able to funtion if something like that comes to fruition.
YAY! Ausiello answered my question LOL. Thank God, I was beginning to think we wouldn't get anything prom, I need my epic dance :(
ReplyDeleteI might cry after the finale, I'll jus seriously bawl.
